I suppose one could track the current addin folder with a static variable and based on that know the active addin folder, but again it's not generic. WebJun 6, 2007 · One thing you could do is load the assembly into a separate appdomain. If it loads then you can load it in the primary domain. Alternatively you can try to load the assembly as reflection only. If that works then you can load it normally. You'd have to check to see if the load fails for reflection whether the failure is cached or not.
