They changed the fluid in the 8 speed due to failing tc's. They get a rumble at 2-3 and 3-4 shift. Was dex 6, now dex hp fluid. Should be better on 16+ trucks. 6 speeds had front pump issues but that was like 11s down. Just check carfax to see if the tc has been replaced. Had a 15 come in to shop with 4 replacements.
