Also, Magnum can be aimed down the sight, in the newer title, and seems to have less recoil than it does in Half-Life. We always felt like some original Half-Life weapons, specifically Tau Cannon and Gluon Gun, are not given enough air time in Half-Life. WebThe MP5 is basically useless in Black Mesa, stick with the Shotgun, Revolver and Crossbow. For vehicles, the Tau Cannon really is best. Charge it up to max and you can destroy a tank instantly. The only difficult part I had in Black Mesa was in the room that's loaded with explosives and tripmines everywhere, it seemed harder than in Half-Life.

WebProblems I have with Black Mesa. First lets get the obvious out of the way. The H.E.C.U are no where near as fun as they were in Half-Life. The H.E.C.U in Half-Life stay in place while they are firing at you. Sure, this makes them easier but more fun to fight. Plus grenade throwing also make the combat that much more fun.
